An Indian entrepreneur is offering top-tier internship roles to anyone, college degree or not. Siddharth Bhatia, co-founder and CEO of Puch AI, announced two internship openings at his startup, with monthly stipends ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh. The roles are completely remote, and even high school students can apply.

Bhatia shared the details on X (formerly Twitter) on August 6, inviting applications for two positions: one for an AI Engineer and another for a “Growth Magician.” The post quickly went viral, attracting enthusiastic responses from aspiring candidates across the country.

No College Degree? No Problem

One of the most refreshing parts of the offer is the startup’s inclusive approach. “We hired a high schooler last month,” Bhatia revealed in his post, showing that academic qualifications are not a barrier at Puch AI. Applicants are judged based on their skills, enthusiasm, and what they can bring to the table.

Founded by Siddharth Bhatia, a graduate of the National University of Singapore, and Arjit Jain, an alumnus of IIT Bombay, Puch AI’s mission is to make artificial intelligence accessible to all Indians, regardless of language or education level.

How to Apply and Win an iPhone

Bhatia explained that candidates must apply directly by commenting on his X post. He advised applicants not to send direct messages but instead respond publicly with why they should be selected and what excites them about working at Puch AI.

“Comment why we should choose you and what you’d be excited to work on if you joined Puch AI,” the CEO posted.

Bhatia also introduced a referral reward. If someone tags a candidate who ends up being selected, they will win an iPhone. “Know someone who’s a perfect fit? Tag them. If they’re hired, you win an iPhone! (One tag per comment),” he added.

Huge Buzz on Social Media

Since the announcement, the comments section of Bhatia’s post has seen a flood of responses from aspiring interns pitching themselves and sharing their past work. Many are excited by the chance to work with a forward-thinking startup that values talent over traditional degrees.

“I’m Amarnath Dhumal, a full-stack developer with 1 year of experience at Fortaxe Global, where I have delivered multiple full-stack and AI projects. Build an AI agent that summarizes any YouTube video in seconds,” a user wrote.

Another said, “I have worked with WhatsApp bots in the past (reverse engineered the api for my use case). Currently, my project is automating WhatsApp announcement automation messages to hostel groups at IITD. Lmk if u wanna more from me. I think I’m someone worth a shot.”

“1-2L for stipend?? CA students get 4k-8k on an average. Let us know if any similar openings for CA and CA students,” an individual commented.

This move reflects a larger trend in the Indian startup world, where companies are starting to value passion, skills, and hands-on experience more than academic credentials. Puch AI’s approach shows how startups are rethinking hiring to be more flexible and inclusive for young talent across the country.
