Stars from across the sporting world were out in force the night before the Super Bowl in New Orleans on Saturday night as Michael Rubin hosted his Fanatics Super Bowl party.

There were plenty of NFL players in attendance, with those unfortunate enough to miss out on playing in the showpiece game of the season making the most of the celebrations around it.

Russell Wilson, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, hit the red carpet with his stunning wife Ciara. The NFL star and the singer were both dressed in black for the occasion.

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was one win away from playing in Sunday’s game.

But his team’s loss to Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship game meant that the 24-year-old was free to go to the party on Saturday.

Many people predicted that Jahmyr Gibbs and the Detroit Lions would have made the Super Bowl this season but before the Commanders lost to the Eagles, they beat the Lions at Ford Field to send the NFC’s No 1 seed crashing out.

Gibbs was on the red carpet Saturday alongside his girlfriend Nicole Anderson.

Angel Reese was representing the WNBA, a day after competing in Unrivaled. It is unclear if she will also be attending the Super Bowl itself – or if her WNBA rival Caitlin Clark will be there too.

Clark, a Kansas City Chiefs fan, joined Taylor Swift in a VIP suite in January for the  playoff game at Arrowhead Stadium against Houston Texans.

They looked like they struck up a friendship that day as they cheered the Chiefs to victory and Clark has previously made no secret of how much she adores Swift’s music.

It certainly would not be the biggest surprise to see her at the game Sunday.

Malik Nabers of the New York Giants and Ja’Marr Chase, the Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver, were also at the event alongside Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson.

Elsewhere in New Orleans, LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne arrived with her partner, the hugely exciting baseball pitching prospect Paul Skenes.

Skenes took MLB’s rookie of the year award for his breakthrough season with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Dunne, meanwhile, is in her final year with the LSU gymnastics team.

Away from her sport, Dunne has a massive profile on social media and has even starred in an energy drink commercial with Travis Kelce, who will take to the field at Caesers Superdome on Sunday.

Jena Sims, the wife of LIV Golf star Brooks Koepka – a five-time Major winner – was also there, dazzling in an orange outfit.

Last year, the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas to win the Super Bowl. The 49ers failed to make the playoffs this time around, meaning that Kyle Juszczyk was free to enjoy the celebrations with his wife Kristin this time around.

But the time for talking is nearly over, with the stars partying in New Orleans with less than 24 hours to go until the big game.

If the Chiefs emerge victorious, Kelce and his team will take over the city as they become the first franchise in the Super Bowl era to win three straight titles.

It was reported earlier this week that Kelce and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes have already spent $11,000 on cigars and $200,000 on champagne for a victory party.

And it is up the Eagles, led by quarterback Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley, to make sure those bottles are never popped.
