Maati Se Bandhi Dor, starring Rutuja Bagwe and Ankit Gupta in prominent roles as Vaiju and Rannvijay, has captivated audiences with its captivating storyline, emotional depth and excellent performances. But the show has failed to rank well on the TRP charts for long and now, latest reports suggest that it is set to go off air soon. The daily soap is expected to come to an abrupt end but there has been no confirmation about the same from makers.

As per a Tellychakkar report, Maati Se Bandhi Dor is expected to air its last episode on March 10. Despite its novel concept and the chemistry between the main characters, the show’s plot has reportedly failed to appeal to viewers, resulting in a drop in TRP ratings. This is not the first time there are speculations of the show going off air. Last year, as rumors about the show ending surfaced, Ankit Gupta had refuted all such claims. He had told Etimes, “I have no such information. The show is not going off air anytime in the near future. We are focussing on our work and the show has many twists and turns in the upcoming episodes.”

Set in the town of Bhumipur, Maharashtra, the show Maati Se Bandhi Dor followed the life of Vaiju, a diligent and family-oriented woman who works in the fields to support her family. Vaiju’s aim extends beyond survival, as she hopes to improve her life and the village’s future. However, fate has a different plan in mind as her paths cross with Rannvijay. When the show originally premiered, the audience responded positively. Viewers praised the original premise and the chemistry between Vaiju and Rannvijay. As the story progressed, significant plot changes such as Jaya and Rannvijay’s marriage and Vaiju’s love story failed to resonate with the viewers.

Rutuja Bagwe has been a prominent face in the Marathi industry. He has starred in shows like Chandra Aahe Sakshila, Nanda Saukhya Bhare, Tu Majha Saangaati and more. On the other hand, Ankit Gupta is best-known for his roles as Parth Kashyap in Sadda Haq, Garv Priyom Thakur in Begusarai, Fateh Singh Virk in Udaariyaan, and Jahaan Mehta in Junooniyatt. He also participated in Bigg Boss 16.
