Sai Pallavi is set to make her Bollywood debut with the upcoming film Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Alongside Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai will be playing Goddess Sita which has created a lot of anticipation among fans. As both the actors are busy filming for the highly anticipated mythological drama, reports emerged suggesting that Sai has given up non-vegetarian food for the same. Addressing the speculations, the actress has now set the record straight on ‘fabricated lies’, warning of legal action against any further rumours.

On Wednesday, Sai Pallavi shared a long note on X. In her note, the actress slammed the reports claiming that she turned vegetarian to play the role of Sita in Ramayana. Her note read, “Most of the times, Almost every-time, I choose to stay silent whenever I see baseless rumours/ fabricated lies/ incorrect statements being spread with or without motives(God knows) but it’s high-time that I react as it keeps happening consistently and doesn’t seem to cease; especially around the time of my films’ releases/ announcements/ cherish-able moments of my career! Next time I see any “reputed” page or media/ individual carrying a cooked-up crappy story in the name of news or gossip then you will hear from me legally! Period!”

Sai Pallavi’s angry post comes on the heels of a report by Tamil Daily that was posted recently. In its report, it was claimed that Sai has given up non-vegetarian food for her new project and she travels with her own team of cooks who prepare only vegetarian food for the actress.

FYI, Sai Pallavi has always claimed to be a vegetarian. In a past interview, she said, “If you take food, I am forever a vegetarian. I can’t see when life dies. I can’t hurt another person and think that it is okay, they deserve it.”

Sai Pallavi was last seen in the action film, Amaran. The Tamil biographical drama is an adaptation of the book series India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan as Major Mukund Varadarajan. Besides, Rahul Bose and Bhuvan Arora were also seen playing pivotal roles.

As for Ramayana, Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial also stars Ravi Dubey, Sunny Deol and Kannada superstar Yash. It is scheduled to release in two parts with the first part arriving in theatres in 2026.
