Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge launch has faced some delays from the brand and it seems we could finally see the new phone announced with its price some time next month.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge has been in the news for a while but the launch is delayed further
Samsung has reportedly pushed back the launch of its highly anticipated Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone. The sleek flagship device, initially teased at the Galaxy Unpacked event in January and later showcased at MWC 2025 in Barcelona, was previously expected to be revealed on April 15. However, new reports indicate a delay in the launch of this smartphone by several weeks.
According to a new report by SamMobile, citing unnamed sources, Samsung is now expected to roll out the Galaxy S25 Edge on May 13. That’s not all, the brand is not going to have a launch event, instead host an online launch event for the phone next month, the report adds. This aligns with Samsung’s recent trend of leveraging digital platforms for product announcements.
The exact reason for the postponement still remains undisclosed, though the report suggests it might be linked to recent leadership changes within the company.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Features Expected
Positioned between the Galaxy S25+ and the top-tier Galaxy S25 Ultra, the Galaxy S25 Edge is rumoured to boast a stunning 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. But the biggest highlight of the device is its ultra-slim and lightweight design, measuring under 162 grams and a mere 5.84 mm in thickness. The display is also expected to offer an impressive peak brightness of 2,600 nits.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S25 Edge is anticipated to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. However, the slim design of the Galaxy S25 Edge could become a problem, as the device will reportedly house a 3,900 mAh battery with 25W charging support to maintain its slender profile. Similar to the rest of the Galaxy S25 line up, the phone is said to feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
The Edge variant could also give up on one sensor and opt for dual-camera system, headlined by a powerful 200 MP primary sensor along with a 12 MP secondary lens.
Meanwhile, the 256GB storage variant of the phone is expected to cost KRW 1.5 million (around Rs 87,000). The alleged renders of the phone suggest that it could launch in three colours – Titanium Jet Black, Titanium Silver and Titanium Icy Blue.
