Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge launch is rumoured for May and now we have a price leak too
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge launch has been delayed and some reports the it will be announced via an online event on May 13. There is some bad news regarding its availability, as markets like India might have to wait longer, with Samsung planning to launch the S25 Edge initially in South Korea and China.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Price Leak: What It Says
So, while the wait continues for Samsung’s “ultra slim” phone, a new report has emerged about its apparent price leak details. The European e-commerce platform Zenetti Shop has revealed the anticipated price of the model, which could be around EUR 1,361 (Rs 1,27,900 approx) for the 256 GB variant. The expected 512 GB variant could cost more.
The new model’s reveal and the price leak has sparked comparisons with the iPhone 16 Pro, which is a strong contender in the smartphone market. Apple’s smartphone comes with impressive features at a mid-range price point. Whether buying the high-end model Galaxy S25 Edge makes sense when options such as iPhone 16 Pro are available at a lower price range will become clear when the device is available in the market.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Features Expected
The Galaxy S25 Edge is rumoured to sport a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. But the biggest highlight of the device is its ultra-slim and lightweight design, measuring under 162 grams and a mere 5.84 mm in thickness. The display is also expected to offer an impressive peak brightness of 2,600 nits.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S25 Edge is anticipated to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. However, the slim design of the Galaxy S25 Edge could become a problem, as the device will reportedly house a 3,900 mAh battery with 25W charging support to maintain its slender profile. Similar to the rest of the Galaxy S25 line up, the phone is said to feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
The Edge variant could also give up on one sensor and opt for dual-camera system, headlined by a powerful 200 MP primary sensor along with a 12 MP secondary lens.
