Samsung One UI 8 beta now coming to 2024 flagship devices.
Samsung One UI 8 beta program is getting a move on after starting it for the latest devices back in May this year. Now, we are going to see the One UI 8 beta update available for older Galaxy devices and some foldables. The new One UI version will be coming to 2024 flagship devices, including the Z Fold model in countries like US, UK, India, and South Korea from next week onwards.
Samsung will give them the chance to sign up for the One UI 8 public beta program to receive the Android 16-based version which will eventually come in the full release later this year.
One UI 8 Beta Update For More Samsung Phones
The One UI 7 upgrade was Samsung’s biggest in terms of the design UI overhaul, but the One UI 8 version is likely to see incremental changes, which seems to have helped its cause and offer a faster OS rollout this year. Now, the company is bringing the new One UI beta version to a host of 2024 models:
- Galaxy S24
- Galaxy S24 Plus
- Galaxy S24 Ultra
- Galaxy S24 FE
- Galaxy Z Fold 6
- Galaxy Z Flip 6
Basically, the next week’s update rollout covers all the premium devices that were launched last year.
One UI 8 Beta Update: How To Install
Here’s how you can install the new One UI 8 beta update
- Get the latest version of the Samsung Members app on the Galaxy S25 phone
- Sign in with your Samsung account
- Tap on the “One UI 8 Beta Program” banner at the top of the home screen
- Hit on “Register” and complete the following steps to install the beta software version
One UI 8 Beta New Features Expected
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 were the first to get the One UI 8 update out of the box. It seems the company will give emphasis to major UX and AI updates with the new version. Samsung says, “One UI 8 will also recognize your context, offering personalized, proactive suggestions that support your unique daily routine.”
But to make sure that the AI data processing is secure, the company is going to have more flexibility with the One UI 8 update. The new One UI 8 Watch edition is also coming to a host of Galaxy Watch versions and their beta roll out has also started.
