One UI 7 promises a natural and seamless AI experience.
Bringing an end to the long wait for an update, Samsung has officially confirmed the release timeline for its One UI 7, stating that eligible Galaxy devices will be able to access it next month. In a press note focusing on the One UI 7 beta program, the South Korean smartphone manufacturer revealed that the official AI update will be available “within April.” The company has also promised the program to be designed in a manner to offer the “most natural and seamless mobile AI experience.”
While the beta program will be available for Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 users in India, Korea, the UK, and the US from Thursday, March 6, it will be rolled out to more devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, Tab S10 series, and A55 within the month itself. Further, the official update of One UI 7 will be available within April, the company added in the statement. “Integrating leading AI agents with multimodal capabilities into every touchpoint of the interface, One UI 7 marks a significant leap forward in creating a new kind of mobile experience where every interaction feels more intuitive than ever before,” they added.
Samsung’s One UI 7 AI Features
One UI 7 is said to be the latest software version from Samsung, based on Android 15, and comes with AI features. Some of the key highlights include a Now Bar, a revamped camera interface, a vertical app drawer, a battery charging limit, rounded AI elements, and a lot more advanced writing tools, among others. The program also upgrades calling features by introducing call transcription in 20 languages. With this, users can access the transcribed conversations when the call recording is enabled.
The release timeline for One UI 7 has been announced days after Samsung introduced AI upgrades for its Galaxy A series smartphones. At first, the company integrated Awesome Intelligence, including AI-powered features, into the devices, aiming to unlock limitless creativity and offer a safe, reliable, and fun mobile experience. “The new Galaxy A series marks an important step in our mission of AI for all by opening Galaxy’s incredible mobile AI experiences to even more people around the world,” said TM Roh, Samsung’s President and Head for MX Business. Awesome Intelligence is said to be the first comprehensive mobile AI, exclusively accessible to the A series devices.
