The Champions League final will be moved to a new stadium after the San Siro was stripped of its hosting privileges.
The iconic stadium was set to host the 2027 showpiece but following UEFA’s Executive Committee meeting in Prague on Tuesday, it has been decided that a new venue will be found.
The decision comes after the Municipality of Milan failed to guarantee that the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza would not be affected by planned renovations.
A statement by UEFA read: ‘Municipality of Milano could not guarantee that the San Siro stadium and its surroundings would not be affected by refurbishment works’
