Sara Khan, who plays Goddess Kritikayein in Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya, recently shared her thoughts on the evolving expectations in the entertainment industry. While actors have always worked hard to look their best with fancy outfit, makeup and jewellery, Sara believes that, now, it’s more about the “vibe and how you carry yourself.” Although she believes that physical appearance has the power to get more opportunities, but talent and personality helps an actor stay in the spotlight. According to her, confidence is the best accessory, as “it speaks louder than any outfit or makeup.” She also mentioned that the industry has changed, as audiences are looking for real and relatable actors.
In the conversation with Filmibeat, the actress said, “It’s true, whether we like it or not, how you present yourself makes a first impression. But in the entertainment industry, it’s more than just looks, it’s about your vibe and how you carry yourself. While physical appearance may open doors, your talent and personality keep you in the room. I believe confidence is the best accessory anyone can wear, it speaks louder than any outfit or makeup.”
“Today, it’s not just about looks, it’s about how talented, hardworking and unique you are. Audiences want to connect with real, relatable people rather than just picture perfect faces. Of course, a good personality and confidence still help, but the focus is now on skills, passion and the ability to deliver. This shift makes the industry more exciting and welcoming for everyone,” Sara Khan added.
The former Bigg Boss contestant further shared that, in the past, people have often made comments about the way she looks. At first, she felt it was unfair, but she soon realized that it’s impossible to satisfy everyone. Now, she concentrates on being the best version of herself and doesn’t let negativity affect her life or career. She believes that personal happiness is more important than what others think. Speaking about her love for Mumbai, Sara claimed that the city has allowed people to show their true personality.
Sara Khan also mentioned that she likes to look presentable when going out because it’s part of her personality. However, she doesn’t always likes to go out wearing fancy clothes. Sometimes, she feels confident when she opts for comfortable clothes and chooses to go makeup free.
