Sharif Admits BrahMos Strike Pre-Empted Pakistan’s Plan; India Rules Out Talks Over Terror

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has admitted that his army was caught off guard during India’s military strikes on his country. Sharif said Indian missile strikes appeared to have pre-empted a planned Pakistani attack. Pakistan army, Sharif recollected, had planned to “respond to Indian aggression” at dawn on May 10. However, even before dawn, India hit various provinces of Pakistan with its BrahMos cruise missiles, the Prime Minister added.“On the night of May 9-10, we decided to respond in a measured fashion to Indian aggression. Our armed forces were prepared to act at 4.30 in the morning after Fajr prayers to teach a lesson.
