Recently, many social media accounts shared screenshots of Kohli’s ‘like’ on a picture shared by a fan page of actor Avneet Kaur. The incident is creating a significant buzz on social media, which led Kohli to eventually issue a clarification and call it an Instagram algorithm issue. Additionally, TV actor Sheezan Khan has extended his support to the cricketer, showing proof that Virat’s clarification makes sense.
Recently, Sheezan Khan took to his Instagram handle to share a screenshot of an Instagram glitch he experienced. The actor posted a photo and stated that he discovered a profile he seemed to be following while browsing through the stories of his followers. Sheezan emphasised, nevertheless, that he “never followed that account.” “When did that happen?” he asked, revealing that Instagram is experiencing major glitches.
Furthermore, a friend or follower informed Sheezan that they had encountered a similar issue. Sheezan then tagged Virat Kohli in a screenshot of his friend’s message, writing, “Nation owes you an apology.”

In a subsequent official statement, the Indian cricketer clarified that he “never reacted to anyone’s post, and it was just a glitch.” He cautioned internet users against speculating and making conclusions.
Virat Kohli wrote, “I’d like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding.”
Moving on, singer and Bigg Boss 14 runner-up Rahul Vaidya also reacted to the controversy, leaving people even more confused. He took a jab at Kohli, revealing that the cricketer has blocked him on Instagram. He said, “So, guys, Virat Kohli has blocked me, as you all know. I think that, too, is an Instagram glitch. Virat Kohli didn’t block me. Instagram k algorithm ne bola hoga Virat Kohli ko ki, ‘Ek kaam kar, main tere behalf pe Rahul Vaidya ko block kardeti hoon’. Hain na Right?”
