Former Los Angeles Dodgers star Julio Urias can be seen angrily running after his wife and shoving her into a fence in shocking footage of his September 2023 domestic violence incident released by the California Highway Patrol.

Urias, 28, faced five misdemeanor charges over the alleged physical confrontation with wife Daisy Perez at a soccer game after being arrested at the scene and booked on a felony domestic violence charge last year.

Previous reports claimed Perez became upset with him for taking pictures with female fans at the Major League Soccer game between Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami and LAFC at BMO Stadium.

DPS officers were patrolling outside the stadium after the soccer match in which Messi played in front of numerous celebrities, including Prince Harry, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ed Norton, Jason Sudeikis, Owen Wilson, and Mario Lopez as well as LAFC owners, Will Ferrell and Magic Johnson.

Urias faced five misdemeanor charges after posting $50,000 bail, four of which were dropped. He also pleaded no contest to misdemeanor domestic battery in May of this year.

TMZ previously reported that Daisy was left bloodied after the incident, while she also had strangulation marks and redness on her face.

As well as misdemeanor domestic battery, Urias had also been facing one count of spousal battery, one count of domestic battery involving a dating relationship, one count of false imprisonment and one count of assault.

Los Angeles City Attorney’s office spokesman Ivor Pine said he was placed on 36 months of summary probation and ordered to complete 30 days of community labor.

He was also ordered to complete a 52-week domestic violence counseling course, pay a domestic violence fund fee, not possess any weapons, not use any force or violence, pay restitution to the victim and abide by a protective order.

Urias has not played in MLB since the arrest and is awaiting his fate as a free agent as the league continues to investigate the matter.

He became a free agent after the 2023 World Series having been placed on administrative leave indefinitely by MLB following his arrest. Urias spent the first eight years of his career with the Dodgers.

The leave was imposed under baseball’s joint domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse policy with the players’ association and can be the first step toward a suspension. Players are paid but cannot play while on leave.

Even without a criminal conviction, MLB could suspend the left-hander if it concludes he violated the policy.

Urias was also arrested in May 2019 on suspicion of domestic battery. He was suspended 20 games by MLB, but he wasn’t prosecuted by the LA city attorney on the condition he complete a 52-week domestic violence counseling program. No player has been suspended twice under MLB’s domestic violence policy.
