Lohri, the vibrant harvest festival, was celebrated on Monday with enthusiasm and joy across North Indian states like Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir. Known for its cultural significance in uniting families and communities, the festival saw Television stars like Shraddha Arya, Kushal Tandon, Shehnaaz Gill and Rubina Dilaik sharing heartfelt wishes with fans on social media.

Shraddha Arya, known for her performance in the TV show Kundali Bhagya, posted a picture on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “May this Lohri bring happiness, prosperity, and positivity to everyone’s lives. Happy Lohri to all!” She also dropped a few glimpses of her celebrations.

Shehnaaz Gill shared warm wishes for Lohri on her social media. On her Instagram Stories, she wrote, “May the festival of Lohri bring endless happiness to your lives.” She also posted on her X account, saying, “May the bonfire of Lohri bring joy, warmth, and prosperity to your life. Happy Lohri!”

Kushal Tandon, who participated in Bigg Boss 7, gave fans a glimpse of his Lohri 2025 festivities with friends in Gurugram. Sharing moments on social media, he posted a video featuring a bonfire and dhol beats inside a restaurant, captioning it, “Happy Lori.” In another post, he enjoyed the warmth of the bonfire, dressed in a casual blue denim jacket and black pants.

Lohri, a significant festival celebrated predominantly by Hindu and Sikh communities worldwide, is marked by lighting bonfires, singing, dancing, and socializing with loved ones. Also referred to as Lohadi or Lal Loi, it takes place on the eve of Makar Sankranti.

This joyous occasion holds particular importance for newlyweds and families with newborns, as they come together to celebrate their first Lohri with great enthusiasm.

As part of the Lohri festivities, people offer sesame seeds, jaggery (gur), and popcorn to the God of Fire, symbolizing gratitude for the harvest season.
