Shubman Gill is leading Gujarat Titans in IPL 2025, and on Friday (May 2), during his team’s 10th league match of the ongoing season, he was seen losing his cool during the second half. In a video going viral on the internet, Gill can be seen arguing with on-field umpire Virender Sharma in an aggressive manner.
The incident took place during the 14th over of SRH’s innings bowled by Prasidh Krishna.
Abhishek was struck on the boot on the fourth ball, and he needed a bit of magic spray from the physio. Gill was not happy with something and had an animated chat with the umpire. The two umpires then had a discussion, and they explained something to Gill.

Angry after run out
During the GT-SRH match in Ahmedabad, Gill lost his cool on multiple occasions. He was seen arguing with the umpire after getting run out in a controversial manner in the first innings. The video of him getting involved in a heated verbal battle with the official was shared by Star Sports on X, and it went viral on the internet.
Third fifty in a row
Even though Gill is making more headlines for his on-field behaviour, he was also on fire with the bat against Sunrisers, and before getting out on the last ball of the 13th over, he scored 76 runs. During his stay at the crease, the 25-year-old right-handed batter faced 38 balls and hammered 10 fours, 2 sixes. He added 87 runs for the first wicket with Sai Sudharsan (48 runs from 23 balls) and 62 runs for the second wicket with Jos Buttler (64 runs from 37 balls).
The super show once again by the top three batters helped GT post a total of 224 runs on the board for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. For SRH, Jaydev Unadkat picked up three wickets for 35 runs in four overs.
