A boyfriend who forced his partner to have sex with their pet pug while he filmed has been jailed for five-and-a-half years.
A court heard Graham Marshall, 39, used ‘coercion’ to encourage his partner Paige Reaney, 33, to engage in a number of sex acts with their pug named Charlie.
Judge Jeremy Richardson KC described it as the ‘worst’ case he had experienced in almost 50 years covering courts.
Richardson helped Reaney have sex with the animal on more than four occasions between August 2019 and December 2022, Sheffield Crown Court heard.
The pair shared images of the sex acts between themselves on TikTok.
While Marshall was said to have used a level of coercion to make Reaney commit the acts on the animal, the court heard she retained some blame for what happened to the ‘helpless creature’.
Reaney was given a nine-month suspended sentence, with Judge Richardson saying it was Marshall’s perverted sexual fantasies which drove the abuse of Charlie at their home, The Daily Express reported.
However he questioned Reaney decision not to refuse to take part in the vile acts.

In messages between themselves on TikTok sharing the videos, Marshall said ‘so, so f****** hot it’s amazing’ and Reaney replied ‘I wish I could have you right now’.
The court heard Marshall referred to his partner as ‘Mummy’ when he was speaking to their dog.
A vet told the court that Charlie would have experienced pain and distress when he was being forced to take part in the sex acts.
Both Reaney and Marshall admitted bestiality and animal cruelty.
Marshall also pleaded guilty to possessing child abuse images, possession of extreme pornography and voyeurism.
He was also given an extended sentence with a four-year licence period on his release, as the judge decided he was a dangerous offender.
Judge Richardson said Marshall had ‘wallowed in the swamp of sexual depravity repeatedly, and over a long period.’
The offending was discovered in August 2021 after their devices were seized by police upon receiving information about the possession of illegal images of children.

Electronic devices were seized from the couple, who have two children, and police analysis uncovered a number of additional sexual offences
The judge told the couple that the dog had suffered by being in a state of learned helplessness and said they had deliberately caused pain to their pet.
Marshall was in possession of abuse images of children as young as seven, he also admitted to taking an indecent image of a child.
He also installed a camera in a bathroom to record women.
The court heard Marshall had lost everything as a result of his actions and had been living in a tent in the woods in an attempt to avoid vigilante abuse.
The couple have been in a relationship since Reaney was 17 and she only learned of the true extent of his sexual offending when he was arrested.
The couple have two children together.
The court heard Reaney has learning difficulties and that Marshall had manipulated Reaney throughout their relationship, exerting control over Reaney and subjecting her to both verbal and physical abuse.
