Skai Jackson’s domestic battery case has been dropped and she will not face charges following an alleged altercation with her boyfriend last week.
The former Disney channel star, 22 – who recently avoided questions from fans in regards to her arrest – was taken into custody over the incident at the Universal Studios CityWalk, and released just hours later.
However, charges will not be filed against the actress due to prosecutors finding a lack of evidence, TMZ reported on Saturday.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office informed the outlet that the case will not go forward due to Jackson not having any criminal history.
The alleged victim – her boyfriend – does not have any injuries and has also not been cooperating with prosecutors.

On Wednesday, Skai notably avoided fan questions about going to jail during the star’s TikTok Live as she returned to social media after her arrest on suspicion of domestic battery.
The star discussed other topics while filming the live, but notably opted to not talk about the arrest.
In a snippet shared to X, formerly known as Twitter, Jackson could be seen talking about an upcoming television project – but in the comments, fans kept questioning the actress about the arrest.
‘She’s answering every thing except our questions,’ one social media typed out, while another added, ‘Girl what happened you and jail?’
A fan also asked, ‘Why were u locked up,’ while others simply typed out the word ‘jail’ in the comments.
Skai – who currently boasts 22 million followers on the platform – explained during the clip, ‘I have a TV show that I just filmed but I can’t say what it is yet.’
The Jessie star has been active on social media following the arrest – and also returned to Instagram on Wednesday.
She uploaded a video to her main Instagram page to give a glimpse at her ‘Hair care/ wash day.’ However, in the comment section, there was no mention of her arrest.

Last week on Friday, Jackson was arrested for domestic battery following an alleged fight with her boyfriend.
She was taken into custody at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood, California after security guards spotted her in an altercation. The arrest was first reported by TMZ.
Security reportedly detained the couple and called the police after seeing Jackson shove her boyfriend, whose identity is not clear.
Sources told TMZ that the couple denied they physically fought, and claimed they are actually engaged and expecting a baby together.
According to reports, police decided to arrest Jackson and her partner after being shown footage of the alleged altercation.
The security footage allegedly showed the Disney star pushing her partner twice.
Jackson was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery, and was cited before being released hours later.

Fans mocked her fundraising efforts, leading Jackson to insist in a follow-up TikTok that she ‘doesn’t need the money’ and is ‘not that serious.’
Skai was involved with the law in the past when she filed a restraining order in early 2020 against rapper Bhad Bhabie (Danielle Bregoli) after she allegedly made threats against Jackson’s life.
However, later that same year, the actress dropped the restraining order after Bregoli checked herself in to rehab for past traumas and drug abuse.
Despite her return to social media and the case being dropped, Jackson has yet to publicly comment on the arrest.
