SNL cast members unveil new ‘hot jacked Trump’ character in MAGA-friendly cold open

The cast of Saturday Night Live wasted no time in unveiling a new ‘hot jacked Trump’ character while claiming their sudden allegiance to the president-elect.

Donald Trump was declared the victor by a landslide by Fox News early Wednesday after going head to head with Vice President Kamala Harris in the historical election.

And the cast of SNL returned to the stage live from New York City to address the results during a suspiciously MAGA-friendly cold open – and of course, introducing two new characters.

A ‘hot jacked Trump’ and Dana Carvey as his political buddy, a jumping Elon Musk.

As hot Trump walked out on stage in a black muscle tank and red bandana, he flexed his muscles and protruding arm veins to the audience.

The cast of SNL took to the stage Saturday to talk about the results during a suspiciously MAGA-friendly cold open – and of course, introducing two new characters – one of whom was ‘hot jacked Trump’

'They finally got the body right,' Trump 2.0 said. 'But from now on we're going to do very flattering portrayals of Trump because he's frankly... my hero'

‘And he’s going to make an incredible president and eventually KING! We love you buddy,’ he added as he blew a kiss to the camera.

As the cast first began the cold open on Saturday, the mood was somber while discussing Trump taking back the Oval Office after his landslide victory.

‘Donald Trump, who tried to forcibly overturn the results of the last election was returned to office by an overwhelming majority,’ Heidi Gardner sighed.

‘Now, thanks to the Supreme Court, there are no guardrails,’ Bowen Yang told the audience.

But then, the mood quickly started to morph into something celebratory.

‘That is why we at SNL would like to say to Donald Trump…. We have been with you all along!’ Kenan Thompson said.

‘We have NEVER wavered in our support of you!’ Yang mockingly said while rolling his eyes. ‘Even when others doubted you!’

The cast doubles down on their claims, stating how every person on the stage always believed in the former president and even voted for him… at least once.

‘I voted for you 50 times in Pennsylvania,’ Gardner smiled.

They continued to explain why they voted for Trump at the ballot, noting that they see themselves in Trump when they look at him.

‘That’s the man I want my future children to look up to,’ Sarah Sherman confidently said.

The cast even went as far as to remember the January 6 riot on the Capitol, which they said the only regret they have is not being able to participate in another one because they 'were ready'

And of course, Weekend Update co-anchor Colin Jost took the time to call out Michael Che.

‘We know you say things that are controversial,’ Jost added. ‘But really, you’re just speaking the truth, and I hate how the lame-stream media, Michael Che, tries to spin it to make you look foolish.’

Thompson addressed Trump in the camera and questioned if the former president was keeping some type of list of his enemies before another cast member said: ‘Then we should NOT be on that list.’

Ego Nwodim explained to the audience that although 92 percent of black women voted for Kamala Harris, she was one of the ‘proud eight percent.’

And in true supporter form, the cast said that if they find out anyone on stage voted for Kamala, they will ‘rat them out so fast’.

The camera then panned to ‘three disgusting new cast members’ who voted for Kamala, along with their names and a cast member in the back yelling: ‘You can find their home addresses online. Hail Trump.’

The cast also debuted another new character - Elon Musk - who came out to the stage dancing and shouting

The cast informed the audience that they are so excited about their newest character – Trump 2.0 – and can’t wait to see what he does with the country this time around.

‘I keep waking up in the middle of the night screaming,’ Nwodim said. ‘With joy of course!’

And they gave a little remembrance to the infamous January 6 riot on the Capitol – noting how the only regret they feel is not being able to participate in one of those themselves.

‘I was ready!’ Sherman added as Jost walked into the frame and agreed while dressed as the QAnon Shaman, with a furry bull-horned Viking hat.

But it wouldn’t be a post-election SNL message without the mention of the ‘loved and trusted’ Elon Musk.

At the end of the cold open, the cast brought up the 'unseen young men' who were a key factor in the outcome of the election while singing 'you don't need to be unhappy' in the tone of YMCA

‘Worst case scenario, if our planet falls apart, we can all go to Mars!’ Thompson exclaimed.

Elon Musk 2.0 – a stuttering, skinny character with a black hat and outfit – walked out dancing upon being addressed.

‘But seriously… I run the country now,’ Carvey said while fake laughing. He also mentioned his ‘super cool and super fun’ rockets.

The cold open ends with the cast bringing up the ‘unseen young men’ who were a critical component in how the election would play out before breaking into song.

‘You don’t need to be unhappy,’ they sang in the tone of YMCA as they danced along with their two newest – and memorable – political characters.
