South Africa vs Pakistan Cricket Live Score, 2nd Test Day 2 (South Africa National Cricket Team vs Pakistan National Cricket Team Match Scorecard):
Hello and welcome to our coverage of Day 2 of the second Test between South Africa and Pakistan taking place at the Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town on Saturday.
The hosts will look to extend their first-innings score with Ryan Rickelton going strong at 176. A double-century could be on the cards and even more, considering that the Pakistan bowling unit is struggling to find momentum.
South Africa’s dominance will be expected to continue but the Pakistan bowlers can find themselves in the hunt should they be able to strike early on to turn the tides.
The weather forecast from AccuWeather suggests sunny skies with no chance of rain playing spoilsport, which will be ideal for South Africa to extend their total.

The next best is 4, at Kingsmead, Durban. Overall, Adelaide Oval tops the list with 21. And we all know why. With drop-in pitches, the track turns into a pancake as the days go by. DRINKS BREAK. What a moment for the 28-year old. He would still be soaking the feeling in. Maiden double Test ton, in his very first knock as an opener. And it has been a classy knock, make no mistake. He has shown all types of gears. Started off nicely, then had to slow down and he did both with perfect resolve. Then, once the ball got older, he made full use of the conditions on offer. Even this morning, he believed he started on 0 and has grown in confidence as the hour went on. It is a scorcher of a day as compared to Day 1 but Pakistan have been better so far. They have bowled 13 overs and conceded 45 runs, picking up the wicket of David Bedingham. The lines and lengths have been pretty accurate, barring the one-odd short ball. But South Africa, to their credit have not thrown it away. They are prepared for the grind, because they know, once the ball gets older, runs will be there for the taking. The pitch is starting to show some tricks now, with the odd ball staying low. One expects that with the sun beating down with such force, there might be turn on offer as well, later on.
92.5 – FOUR! A DEFT TOUCH! This happens when you are playing on 200! Good length, around leg, angling in, at hips, Ryan Rickelton helps it to deep fine leg for a boundary. He will now start to make it a big one from now on to secure a big score in the first inning for South Africa. It will be fun to watch how will he play now.
92.4 – Hard length, outside off, from over the wicket, going away, Kyle Verreynne cuts it to deep point for a single. Ryan Rickelton is back on the strike after his 200.
DRINKS BREAK. What a moment for the 28-year old. He would still be soaking the feeling in. Maiden double Test ton, in his very first knock as an opener.
92.6 – Goes fuller, outside off, Ryan Rickelton defends it to mid off from the front foot.

Score : 361/5
92.1 – Landed around off, from left arm over the wicket, angling away, Kyle Verreynne opens the face of his bat and guides it through point for a single.
92.3 – MAIDEN DOUBLE TON FOR RYAN RICKELTON! Newlands is on its feet! The last time a South African batter made a Test double ton at this ground was 9 years ago.
92.2 – FOUR! BRILLIANT! Onto 199 now! Full, outside off, Ryan Rickelton comes forward and executes a nice little push back past the bowler, down the ground through mid off. Mum is on her feet to applaud that. When is that next run coming?
It is a weekend and the crowd has been building up nicely. It was not necessarily a full house yesterday, but so far this morning, people have turned up in fairly large numbers. There will be the anticipation of Rickelton reaching his double ton and then, a bit of fun in the second session, once the Proteas get past 400. And later, in the third session, they would be keen to see Rabada and Jansen have a go at the Pakistan batters. First bowling change of the day. Mir Hamza to bowl now. 15-1-49-0 so far.
