South Korea Plane Crash LIVE: A Jeju Air flight, incoming from Bangkok and carrying 181 on board, crashed at South Korea’s Muan International Airport on Sunday.

There were 175 passengers and 6 crew members on the plane during the time of the mishap. Reports claimed that 179 of them were presumed dead while there were only two survivors.

The authorities said that it took 43 minutes for the fire department to put it out after the crash. They are investigating the cause of the accident. While they suspected the plane’s landing gear malfunctioned, there were some witnesses claiming that they saw the plane collide with birds.

There were 173 Korean and 2 Thai passengers on the Jeju Air flight, besides 6 crew members. The flight had departed from Thailand at 1.30 am and was scheduled to land at 8.30 am.

The crash took place at 9.03 am.
