Sriti Jha took to her Instagram handle to share a nostalgic post as her popular TV show Kumkum Bhagya marked 11 years.

Kumkum Bhagya, starring Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia, marked a milestone of 11 years since its premiere. The popular daily TV show has captivated audiences with its engaging storyline and complex characters. On April 16, Sriti Jha, who portrayed Pragya, shared a nostalgic post on Instagram, featuring wholesome photos with co-stars Shabir Ahluwalia and Supriya Shukla. The throwback post highlighted the strong bond they developed during their time on set.
Sharing some nostalgic photos on her Instagram story, Sriti celebrated the 11th anniversary of Kumkum Bhagya. In the story, she shared some iconic moments of Pragya and Abhi (Sriti and Shabir) from the show. She also acknowledged Supriya Shukla and revealed how she was always there for her. Sriti captioned the post: “11 years of Kumkum Bhagya… A show which gave some beautiful people for life. Thank you, Sarla.. U got me so much love.”
A few years ago, Sriti appeared in her first open mic platform, where she narrated the ordeal of an asexual in first person. While her performance received high praise on social media, many assumed the Kumkum Bhagya actress shared her own life experiences.
However, during an interview with The Times of India, she clarified, “I wrote that piece when I was going through a certain phase in my life. That’s when I read a book where I, for the first time, read about asexuality. My first thought was, ‘Am I asexual?’ I was pondering. That’s when I wrote the poem, which was in first person. I didn’t think about people’s reactions and just went ahead and narrated it at an event. I’m too old to bother about log kya kahenge.”
She further stated that the response was so heartwarming and overwhelming. The way people reached out to her after that poem was amazing. Sriti admitted that she didn’t know it would evoke such a response.
On the work front, Sriti Jha is currently starring in the daily TV soap Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye alongside Arjit Taneja. In the serial, the actress plays the role of Amruta Bhavani Chitnis, a banker. Previously, she also participated in two reality shows – Khatron Ke Khiladi and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
