Sticky Vicky’s daughter has sensationally quit performing her mother’s sexy show just two years after taking it over.

María Gadea Aragüés carried on doing the X-rated magic show after her mother – whose real name was Victoria María Aragüés Gadea – died in 2023, aged 80.

María has been performing for ten years but only took over the famous act, which included the Spanish dancer pulling a variety of objects from her private parts, recently.

She had carried on using her mother’s stage name and continued to perform for tourists in the popular holiday spot for British holidaymakers and expats.

Maria had weekly shows at the likes of the Palladium, Zodiaco and Rockefellers and while her mother was still performing it was estimated that six million people saw the show which she performed six times a day.

Des Bellamy-Wright, who works at the Benidorm Palladium, confirmed that Maria no longer works in the popular Spanish city.

Ms Bellamy-Wright said: ‘Sticky Vicky doesn’t work in Benidorm anymore. We have a similar fun show Carmen Snake – Sticky Show which is on every night at 12:45 am.’

Maria’s last show took place in November 2024, with no confirmation on the reason for her retirement.

Paul, 51, from Ripon, who often visits Benidorm, said: ‘It’s a sad loss for Benidorm. The Sticky Vicky show has been around for years.

‘I’ve heard that she got fed up on some nights only having a few people come and see the show.

‘Other performers who do the same shows such as Carmen Snake have now taken her place.’

Brits have been left devastated by the news, taking to social media to remember the iconic performance.

Danny said: ‘Truly the end of an era.’

Tristan Allaway said: ‘Game’s gone.’

Lukas said: ‘The World ain’t what it used to be.’

Another added: ‘No, this was one of the things I was hoping to see.’

One other said: ‘For goodness sake.’

Vicky Leyton, a trained ballet dancer, was born in 1943 in Tenerife. She went on to become an icon in Spain’s Benidorm thanks to her exotic, X-rated performances of her vaginal magic show.

The mother-of-two moved to the city in south-east Spain in 1980 where she became a legend of the holiday hotspot visited by millions of British tourists.

During her show she would pull ping pong balls, razor blades, eggs, handkerchiefs and machetes from her private parts.

It would end with the lights dimming and her producing a lit light bulb.

She was once described by a guide to Benidorm as such a ‘must-see’ that leaving without experiencing her show would be like buying fish without chips or turning on the TV to see Ant without Dec.

Vicky became such a famous name that she once marked the third series of ITV’s comedy show Benidorm – by officially opening Mel’s Mobility Shop before it caught fire.

Vicky finally retired in 2016 aged 72 after she was diagnosed with uterine cancer, and her daughter Maria then took over.

Vicky said she did not characterise herself or her show as pornographic.

‘To do what I do you must have a lot of delicacy. It is necessary to give it a touch of elegance,’ she said at the time.

She also once thanked the ‘English public’ for her success, saying she would never have imagined she would have become a performer.

‘I never thought I could be on a stage at my age, and it is all thanks to the English public,’ she said.

Vicky invented her X-rated show after a magician friend taught her tricks during hard times after the death of former dictator Francisco Franco, which at the same time brought the easing of sexual censorship in Spain.

She boasted of keeping in shape with regular gym workouts and a healthy lifestyle.

Vicky carried on performing her raunchy magic tricks well past the normal-retirement age after postponing plans to hang up her props so she could fight rival performers she denounced as imposters.

But it appears her daughter wasn’t able to pull in the same numbers as her mother had once done.

Barcelona-born Maria, was her mother’s full time carer but also gave  private lessons focused on gymnastics, strength and stretching for children and athletes including dancers before taking over her mother’s show.
