Last evening, Sudanshu Pandey celebrated his birthday with his band members, Karan Oberoi, Danny Fernandes, Sherrin Varghese and Chintoo Bhosle.

Sudanshu Pandey is widely recognised for his role as Vanraj Shah in Anupamaa. While his acting skills have undoubtedly captured the attention of many, he has a devoted fan base who enjoys his singing. He was formerly a member of the music group Band of Boys. Much to the delight of the fans, the band dismantled years ago, is back together with a wide range of new songs. The group has reunited and geared up to release a new album titled A Band of Boys Reignite.

Last evening, Sudanshu Pandey celebrated his birthday with his Band of Boys members, including Karan Oberoi, Danny Fernandes, Sherrin Varghese and Chintoo Bhosle. The band also marked their comeback with the release of their new song, Gori Again. Reflecting on their return and the changes over time, Sudanshu remarked, “Mujhe ek cheez aur lagti hai, humare jo gaane hai woh aise waqt aaye the jab social media zero tha, phones utne active nahi the…hum log ke gaane jo the woh organically hit hue the aur woh itne hit hue the ke aaj tak har baccha…every other kid I know, knows the songs. To ye ek definitely difference hai tab mein aur aaj mein,” which translates to, “I feel one thing that our songs were released at a time when there were no social media platforms and phones were not that active. Our songs back then became popular organically. So much so that they are even remembered today. Many kids I know remember the tracks. So that’s a difference I feel that has come today,” as quoted by Telly Chakkar.

Sudanshu Pandey noted that during their earlier days, social media and other platforms were not available to connect with their audience. Despite having these advantages today, he emphasised that the quality of the music remains paramount. He said, “Agar aap acha music le kar aa rahe hai to aapke paas madhyam ho ya na ho, agar gaan acha hai, music acha hai to woh 100 percent chalega,” which translates to, “If you are making good music, then irrespective of any medium, it will be a hit.”

The band has reunited under the label of White Hills Music. The Band of Boys were active from 2001 to 2006 and went on hiatus afterwards. In 2018, the band announced their plans to reunite, and now Sudanshu Pandey has rejoined them as they embark on their second innings.
