Sumbul Touqeer is set to return to the small screen soon. The actress has reunited with producer Gul Khan for her upcoming Star Plus show. Keeping fans updated on her activities, Sumbul recently shared a picture on Instagram Stories, revealing her look for the project and offering a glimpse of her character. Posing alongside Gul Khan, Sumbul shows off her Banjaran-inspired look, enhanced by tattoos and traditional artwork on her body. Her appearance has already sparked great excitement among fans.
Sumbul Touqeer is reportedly making a cameo in the series. Despite the short role, the buzz surrounding her return to television is at an all-time high. Zayn Ibad Khan and Khushi Dubey will play the lead roles in the Star Plus show, which is Gul Khan’s third supernatural-themed production. She has previously produced successful shows like Nazar and Yeh Jaadu Hai Jinn Ka.
Sumbul’s collaboration with Gul Khan dates back to Imlie, where she played the lead role. Her performance in the show made her a household name and opened doors to several other opportunities, including Bigg Boss and Kavya – Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon. Given the success of their previous collaboration, fans are eagerly awaiting her next performance. Details about her cameo remain under wraps though.
Sumbul was last seen in Kavya – Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon, which premiered on September 25, 2023. After a successful run of nearly a year, the show went off-air. In the series, Sumbul portrayed the role of an IAS officer who challenged societal stereotypes while striving to balance her professional and personal life.
Earlier this year, Sumbul Touqeer spoke to ETimes about the character that she plays in different shows. She said, “I also try to step out of my comfort zone with each role, challenging myself to portray characters that push me to new creative heights,” adding, “I’m truly passionate about making every character I play feel real, and I think that passion comes through in my performances. I’m always eager to try new things and take on diverse roles, which has helped me grow as an artist.”
Sumbul Touqeer’s Bigg Boss journey was equally impressive as she emerged as one of the most talked about contestants of that particular season.
