Surbhi Chandna is basking in the success of her recently released romantic track, Ishtam. Featuring Vivek Dhaiya and Anaira Gupta in the leads, the song premiered on April 14 and has been winning hearts. It marks Surbhi’s debut as a producer along with her husband, Karan Sharma. To celebrate the fan’s responses to the track, both Surbhi and Karan head out for a romantic dinner date in Mumbai.
Taking to Instagram, the TV actress shared a glimpse from her dinner date with Karan and wrote in the caption, “Celebrating Ishtam just the two of us tonight.”
In the clip, Surbhi told her partner, “You know, you and me, we haven’t celebrated Ishtam.” To which, he responded, “We worked so hard, I think we deserve,” after which he showcased the restaurant menu card with Sushi imprinted on it to the camera. Replying to him, the actress said, “I Ishtam you. Happy Ishtam.” As the clip moves ahead, we see Karan giving a sweet kiss on his wife’s cheeks.

Ishtam, set against the scenic backdrop of ‘God’s own Country’, Kerala, delivers a unique blend of Hindi and Malayalam lyrics, adding a deep touch to the lovely song. The music video beautifully depicts Vivek and Anaira’s adorable chemistry.
Mitali Dhuri oversaw the choreography, and Nikhil Baiju served as the music album’s Director of Photography (DOP). Alvin Joseph was the art director. Jobina Vincent handled the costume styling, while Pragya DK did the makeup and hair.
Earlier, during the promotions of Ishtam, the actress made a revelation that the song took direct inspiration from the iconic A.R. Rahman tracks Kehna Hi Kya. As per Chennai Online, speaking in an interview, she shared how the Ishtam team aimed to produce something soulful and unique. To do this, they went to take inspiration from one of A.R. Rahman’s most famous compositions from the film Bombay. The original song is recognised for its melody, soft vocals, and unique musical arrangement. Her team used the same emotional depth and musical approach to create Ishtam.
Surbhi is known for her performances in shows like Ishqbaaz, Qubool Hai, Dil Boley Oberoi, Sanjivani, Naagin 5 and Sherdil Shergill, among others.
