A new study has revealed the UK’s best value tourist attractions by calculating the cost per hour spent at each location.
And it’s a Yorkshire theme park where visitors can make their money go the furthest – charging guests just £2.99 an hour.
To get the results, Premier Inn analysed data on admission prices as well as the time spent on average, at the UKs leading attractions to reveal the best value for people to visit.
The list includes a farm which houses rare animals, a place with a Victorian garden, and even a zoo.Â
Surprisingly four attractions come in joint 4th place with the same ‘cost per hour’ value of £4.83.Â
Here, we reveal the top 10 attractions around the country where visitors get the most bang for their buck.
1. Flamingo Land Resort, Yorkshire
Flamingo Land Resort charges £17.95 entry- which equates to just £2.99 per hour.
Yorkshire’s Flamingo Land Resort has claimed the top spot for best value for money, offering visitors an all-round package including a zoo, theme park, and resort for just £17.95.
£17.95 will get visitors entrance for the entire day, meaning that if you spend six hours there on average, it will cost a modest £2.99 per hour.
Set in 365 acres of rural north Yorkshire land, the much-loved northern theme park is a great visit for families, with roller coasters and close-up animal encounters on offer.
2. Warwick Castle, Warwick Â

Warwick Castle charges £22 entry which equates to £3.67 per hour
A historical trip to Warwick Castle has secured second place at £3.67 per hour for a six hour visit to the local legend.
With entrance just £22 for the entire day, visitors can immerse themselves in the medieval castle, built in 1068.
It’s not just architectural beauty, however: there are interactive exhibits, live shows, and breathtaking grounds to explore as well.
3. Drayton Manor, Staffordshire Â

Drayton Manor entry is £24.90 which equals £4.15 per hour spent there, calculated off an average trip
Staffordshire’s Drayton Manor has made the top three for best value for money with a day’s entrance priced at £24.90 – which equates to £4.15 an hour.
The Manor, which turns 75 this year, offers roller coasters, family-friendly rides, and a zoo.
The Manor is based in 180 acres of land and gets 1.5mn visitors each year, making it a popular UK spot.

With over forty rides and three hotels, visitors will certainly not get bored spending a day here.
The legendary theme park is known for its high speed rides and thrilling roller coasters, making it a must-visit for adrenaline junkies and thrill seekers.
= 4. Thorpe Park, Surrey

Thorpe Park also charges £29 a day – which equates to £4.83 per hour for the visitor.
Tying at number 4 with Alton Towers is another theme park with Surrey’s Thorpe Park.
Charging the same £29 for a full day of fun, Thorpe Park offers over forty rides and seasonal events, including themed accommodation like its Thorpe Shark Cabins.
The Park, which closed for winter, reopened this month and works out at just £4.83 per hour if visitors spend six hours there.
= 4. Legoland, Windsor Â

Legoland also charges £29 a day – which equates to £4.83 per hour for the visitor.
Located in picturesque Windsor, Legoland has also ranked joint number 4 in the top ten, again charging £29 for a full day entry pass.
Popular with kids, Legoland offers a wide variety of kids and adult rides, day passes and short breaks.
The park offers over 55 rides including flying through the treetops to escape a dragon, and a ‘magical underwater adventure.’

Chessington World of Adventures also charges £29 for a day pass – working out at £4.83 an hour for average length of visit.
Merlin Entertainment’s Chessington World of Adventures also places at joint number , charging £29 for a day pass and offering a theme park and zoo.
Operating from March to November, the theme park works out at £4.83 each hour for six hours of fun.
Visitors will find safari and Aztec-themed hotels, explorer glamping, and a sea life centre.
8. The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Cornwall Â

The Lost Gardens of Heligan charge £20 entry – equating to £5 per hour
Based down in Cornwall are the beautiful Lost Gardens of Heligan.
Charging £20 for entry, visitors spend an average of four hours there, costing them a budget-friendly £5 per hour.
Visitors can take their dogs to visit one of the most popular gardens in the UK, with Cornwall’s unearthed Victorian gardens proving to be increasingly popular with visitors.
9. ZSL London Zoo

ZSL’s London Zoo costs £31 for the day per person – equating to £5.17 per hour
Arguably the most famous of the ten, at number 9 for best value UK tourist attraction is ZSL’s London Zoo.
At £31 for a day pass, visitors will average a reasonable £5.17 per hour spent here, based on the average of six hours.
With nearly 700 species and over 200,000 individual animals, London Zoo will never fail to wow families.
10. Cotswold Farm Park Â

Cotswold Farm Park charges £16 – the lowest entry of the ten best value attractions – but at an average stay of only three hours, the lowest of all attractions, it works out at £5.33 per hour.
At number ten is Cotswold Farm Park in Cheltenham.
Holding over 50 rare breed farm animals, the park is not only family-friendly but also great as a countryside holiday destination.
With a low entry fee of £16, and visitors spending only an average of three hours per trip, the attraction works out to cost £5.33 per hour – the highest of the top ten best value attractions
