Sydney PR guru Roxy Jacenko reveals she will require IMMEDIATE surgery in shock new health scare – nine years after beating breast cancer

Roxy Jacenko has suffered a fresh health scare, nine years after beating breast cancer.

Roxy was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016 at the age of 36, and endured a six-week radiation program before receiving partial removal surgery.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, the 44-year-old revealed she is undergoing another major surgery after discovering one of her breast implants has ruptured.

Roxy said that while the rupture occurred in one implant only, she will be having both removed and replaced.

‘I’ll be having the implants removed in two weeks, and replaced at the same time,’ she said.

Roxy’s doctors recommend she stay out of action for around four days to recover from surgery, however she is certain she won’t be down for long.

Roxy Jacenko has revealed that she will need immediate surgery in a new health scare for the PR Queen

‘Not much stops me or slows me down, so I don’t see myself needing anything other than two days to be back in action,’ Roxy said.

‘The only thing I won’t be doing is lifting anything for six weeks.’

In usual Roxy fashion, the busy businesswoman did not seem at all nervous about the operation.

‘This time around I’ll need drains, but that’s no issue,’ she said.

‘As long as I can answer my work emails, it will be business as usual.’

She said that while she suffered some initial shock at the news, an implant rupture wasn’t entirely unexpected.

‘I was somewhat shocked when I received the update, but I guess it’s par for the course when you put something in which really isn’t meant to be there,’ Roxy said.

‘During radiation, when I was being treated for breast cancer, I had capsular contractor on the same side, so revision surgery is not something I haven’t had to do before.’

The rupture was discovered during a routine MRI that is part of her annual cancer check-up. She hadn’t been in for one in two years.

‘It wasn’t something that the doctor was looking for but was discovered when assessing the results,’ she said.

‘Coincidently, I had actually thought that the right side looked a little lopsided in comparison to the left, but having had a partial mastectomy eight years ago, I put it down to that,’ she added.

‘Basically, it would be unlikely that anything would be perfectly symmetrical and I needed to not be so vain!’

Roxy admitted to feeling ‘annoyed’ more than anything else about the upcoming surgery.

‘I was a little annoyed. Like FFS, another thing,’ she said. ‘But now I’m very pragmatic about it. I am in good health,’ she said.

‘There are no signs of cancer coming back, so if a ruptured boob is the worst it gets, I am good with that.’

Despite the current health scare, Roxy said that she has not considered removing her implants altogether.

‘Not at all, I have had them since I was 24,’ she said.

‘if anything, what it reminds me is not to be so ignorant about doing annual check-ups regarding my previous cancer diagnosis.’

She even had advice for women who were considering implants for themselves.

‘If you aren’t happy with what God gave you, change it,’ she said.

‘I am all about doing what is right for you, and not worrying about what other people think. I am not the first with a rupture and wont be the last.’
