In their gorgeous bespoke Torani outfits, Bollywood celebrities Khushi Kapoor and Taapsee Pannu add a glamorous touch to the retro corset trend.
Taapsee Pannu and Khushi Kapoor’s handmade Torani costumes bring corsets from the past into the present.
Corsets have made a stunning comeback where vintage aesthetics are given modern twists. This structured silhouette which once defined historical fashion eras is now a favourite among celebrities. Two Bollywood stars, Taapsee Pannu and Khushi Kapoor, showcased their take on this trend where both opted for custom designs from luxury brand Torani. While their outfits had a common base, each actor brought their own style to the corset trend.
Taapsee Pannu stepped out in a striking custom Torani gown at an awards show in November last year. The gown featured a structured corset bodice with a deep sweetheart neckline, adorned with golden zardozi and sequin work all over. The fitted top seamlessly transitioned into a satin skirt with ruched detailing and a high slit.
She kept her accessories minimal with statement earrings and rings. Complementing her ensemble, Taapsee paired the look with strappy black heels. She also carried a heart-shaped minaudière, a collaboration between Lovetobag and Torani. The bag with its gold embroidery perfectly matched the details of her corset.
For makeup, Taapsee went for a subtle eye look with light eyeshadow, kohl-rimmed eyes, perfectly defined brows and voluminous mascara-laden lashes. Soft contouring and a hint of highlighter enhanced her features. For the lips, she chose a dark red shade that tied the whole look together by keeping it both bold and elegant.
Her hair was styled in a sleek high bun with delicate curls framing her face.
Meanwhile, Khushi embraced the corset trend in a completely different way. Attending the Bigg Boss 18 finale for the promotion of her film Loveyapa, she dazzled in a vibrant custom Torani ensemble. Her corset featured a plunging V-neckline and was adorned with intricate floral motifs in multi colours. The fitted bodice was paired with a deep purple draped skirt.
Khushi elevated her outfit with a statement Victorian Polki Diamond necklace along with matching earrings from Amrapali Jewels. Just like Taapsee, Khushi also carried a heart-shaped handbag that matched the colours of her corset.
Her makeup featured shimmery purple eyeshadow, sleek eyeliner, well-defined brows and voluminous lashes. Soft contouring and a touch of blush added a natural glow while deep pink-tinted lips brought the look together. As for her hair, she left her luscious locks open styled in loose, soft curls.
