Ananya Panday captivated everyone last night at the Rajadhiraaj: Love Life Leela event at NMACC’s Grand Theatre. She dazzled in a striking blue saree adorned with intricate floral patterns from the house of Torani. Styled by Tanya Ghavri, Panday’s ensemble was perfectly complemented by traditional jhumkas from Curio Cottage and a statement ring. Her makeup was flawlessly executed with dewy pink lips, highlighted cheeks, and a classic bindi, enhancing her ethereal look.
In contrast, Janhvi Kapoor made a bold statement in a vibrant red saree featuring a heavy broad zari border, paired with a contrasting green blouse. Her look was elevated with a stunning heavy choker necklace and matching earrings, all accentuated by a bindi.

For the unversed, the world’s first mega musical about Shri Krishna, Rajadhiraaj: Love Life Leela, created by Dhanraj Nathwani, is set to unfold at the Grand Theatre of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC), this 120-minute production will run daily from August 15 to September 1, 2024.
Dhanraj Nathwani reflects on his vision for the musical, saying, “Creating Rajadhiraaj: Love Life Leela has been a journey fueled by devotion and passion. Shri Krishna’s life is a boundless source of inspiration, and with this musical, we aim to present the beauty, wisdom, and love he represents. I am thrilled to bring his timeless stories and the intertwined journeys of Shrinathji and Dwarkadheesh to the stage in a way that has never been done before, offering the audience an unforgettable exploration of Shri Krishna’s divine saga.”
The musical features lyrics by the renowned Indian lyricist and screenwriter, Padma Shri Awardee Prasoon Joshi. It delves into lesser-known aspects of Shri Krishna’s life, illustrating his travels from Vraj to Mewar and Mathura to Dwarka. Directed by Shruti Sharma, a seasoned expert in musical theatre, the production showcases over 180 artists and presents the divine forms of Shrinathji and Dwarkadheesh together for the first time in a musical play.
The story captures Krishna’s playful youth as a cowherd in Gokul, his profound wisdom as the charioteer in the Bhagavad Gita, and much more. The captivating soundtrack includes 20 original compositions by the acclaimed duo Sachin-Jigar, blending Western symphonic sounds recorded in Budapest with Indian classical, Haveli Sangeet, Rajasthani and Gujarati folk, and Hindustani semi-classical music.
