Tamannaah Bhatia is back in the spotlight as she begins promotions for her upcoming film Odela 2, and her latest ethnic look is setting the internet ablaze. On April 8, the actor unveiled a stunning promotional ensemble on Instagram—an intricately embroidered sindoori red anarkali set that not only caught the attention of her fans but also received love from fellow celebrities like Priyanka Chopra and Bhumi Pednekar.
Draped in the Essence of Shakti
“The colour of Shakti,” wrote Tamannaah in her Instagram caption, alluding to the divine feminine energy—an apt description for the powerful yet elegant look. The ensemble hails from the atelier of Torani, a label beloved for its handcrafted, vintage-inspired creations. The anarkali kurta features a graceful crew neckline, full-length sheer sleeves, and a flowing pleated ghera. Subtle red thread embroidery, lace accents, and scalloped edges infuse the outfit with a romantic charm, while still maintaining a commanding presence.
A Masterclass in Ethnic Styling
Tamannaah paired the kurta with complementing gharara pants that mirror the detailing of the kurta—delicate threadwork, lace trims, and voluminous pleats that add a festive flair. An ethereal organza dupatta, finished with matching scalloped embroidery, was draped elegantly over her shoulder, tying the whole look together.
In terms of accessories, the actor chose to let the outfit speak for itself, opting for oxidised silver jhumkis and chunky kadhas that brought in a touch of rustic charm. Her makeup was soft yet striking: feathered brows, winged eyeliner, rosy eye shadow, flushed cheeks, and a luminous highlighter that added a dewy glow. Her lips were painted in a mauve-pink hue, offering a modern contrast to the traditional palette.
A standout detail was the red and yellow bindi—crafted from upcycled materials by The Bindi Project—resting between her brows. Her sleek, side-parted bun adorned with fresh red roses added the perfect final flourish.
Celebs and Fans React
Tamannaah’s post was met with instant adoration. Priyanka Chopra responded with a heart-eye emoji, Bhumi Pednekar left a heart, and Rasha Thadani exclaimed, “Uff.” Sonam Bajwa chimed in with, “Sabse Haseen,” while a fan gushed, “You are shakti my love.”
What’s Next for Tamannaah?
Odela 2 also stars Hebah Patel, Vasishta N. Simha, Naga Mahesh, and Surender Reddy, and is set for a theatrical release on April 17, 2025. Apart from this intense drama, Tamannaah will also be seen sharing screen space with Diana Penty in the upcoming film Daring Partners.
With her latest look, Tamannaah has not only given us a sartorial moment to remember but also embodied the spirit of feminine strength—graceful, grounded, and gloriously powerful.
