Taylor Swift recently stepped out in New York City to have dinner with her friends Zoë Kravitz and comedian Jerrod Carmichael. The trio was spotted at the Chez Margaux restaurant in Manhattan. For the casual outing, Taylor dressed in a Sunday dress from Vivienne Westwood’s Spring-Summer 1997 collection. The bodice’s unusual colour scheme featured a mixture of red and yellow to create an orange pop on top of the skirt’s blue fabric and it looked like an art canvas. Taylor paired her outfit with burgundy velvet Aquazurra Twist 95 sandals.
For accessories, Taylor styled her ensemble with a vintage statement gold necklace, a matching bracelet, and a little black leather Vivienne Westwood Granny Frame purse. With her typical red lipstick, subdued red eyeshadow, and black winged eyeliner, Taylor heightened the glam factor while pulling her hair back in a low bun and framing her face with loose strands.
While Taylor Swift looked beautiful in the corset midi dress, the ensemble failed to impress fashion lovers on the internet. The Sunday dress disappointed fans who flooded the comments section with, “The blind loyalty she has to her stylist is astounding (sic)” and “My God, that dress is dreadful. (sic)”. Another added, “A Vivienne Westwood and Taylor Swift relationship could be good but instead is just the most confusing sartorial picks ever (sic).”
“Taylor is so pretty but she really needs a stylist (sic),” read a comment. One user said, “What in god’s name is that dress.” Someone else commented, “This is what billions gets you? (sic)”
Currently, Taylor Swift is in the middle of her The Eras Tour. The singer recently performed in Miami, New Orleans and Indianapolis. Next, she will embark on the last leg of her tour in Canada, wrapping it in December 2024. As for her last album, Taylor released The Tortured Poets Department on April 19. The album broke several records, with its songs claiming the top spots in chartbusters. The singer has received six nominations at the upcoming Grammys in best music video, record of the year, song of the year, album of the year, best pop duo/group performance and best pop vocal album categories.
