Teenage thieves mount brazen Valentines Day raid on Aldi before barging past security guards with a haul of FLOWERS

A gang of teenage thieves mounted an audacious Valentines Day raid on Aldi – before brazenly strolling past security guards with stolen bunches of flowers.

The teenagers, caught on video, casually stride out of Aldi in Seven Kings, Ilford, east London, clutching their unlikely haul.

Dressed in tracksuits, some with their hoods up and balaclavas on, the youths seem appear entirely unbothered by a cameraman filming the encounter.

One even smiles before performing a number of hand gestures towards the camera.

The video, posted on TikTok by auditingbritain5, is captioned ‘Low-budget lovebirds on a Valentines Day mission: Aldi heist.’

The cameraman is heard saying ‘they are stealing something. They are stealing something. What, flowers?’

One of the teenagers replies, ‘We love flowers’.

The cameraman adds: ‘Get them, get them’ to the security guard, who is outnumbered by the seven teenagers.

Shoplifting figures continue to rise across the country and official figures last month revealed they increased by 23 per cent to more than 490,000 a year, the highest since records began.

Meanwhile, London saw an increase by 50 percent, which Mayor Sadiq Khan claimed was ‘because we have a lot of shops’.

Last week three brazen thieves targeted a Greggs branch in London as shocked staff and customers helplessly watched on.

The greedy gang filled their bags with sandwiches, baked goods and drinks at the bakery chain’s South Ruislip branch.

A shoplifter was also caught on video emptying shelves at a Boots store in central London, while shouting at a female security guard to ‘get back’ and ‘move’.
