Teenager, 19, arrives at court where he is charged with murder his father, 57, and trying to murder woman and boy

A 19-year-old man charged with the murder of his father and the attempted murder of a woman and boy has arrived at court.

Fabio Botros was arrested after Emad Botros-Farag, 57, was found at his home with catastrophic injuries. He was later pronounced dead.

A woman and child were also found in the property with serious injuries and were taken to hospital, but have since been discharged. 

Wearing a grey sweatshirt and grey jogging trousers, the 19-year-old from Hollingbury, Brighton was seen arriving at court this morning accompanied by prison officers. 

The tragedy took place at Hartfield Avenue, Hollingbury, shortly after 7.00am on Tuesday morning.

Residents called emergency services after hearing loud shouting and screaming at a nearby house.
