Texans make blockbuster move to keep Derek Stingley in Houston, agreeing record extension

The Houston Texans have agreed a blockbuster deal to re-sign defensive back Derek Stingley Jr., according to multiple reports.

The cornerback is set to stay in Houston after agreeing a mammoth three-year, $90million contract – $30m per year – with the Texans. 

The deal is said to include a huge $89m guaranteed and is set to make Stingley the NFL’s new highest paid defensive back.
