Texas daycare worker caught on camera ‘manhandling’ three-year-old girl

A Texas mother is outraged after a preschool worker was caught on video ‘manhandling’ her young daughter.

Jasmine Adams was in disbelief when she witnessed an employee at the Kipling Street Academy in Houston roughly grabbing her three-year-old girl, Legacy.

‘This is a grown woman who is literally manhandling a three-year-old,’ Adams told ABC 13.

‘I literally see the teacher lifting her off the ground and then just like slamming her onto the floor on her butt.’

The worker can also be seen grabbing little Legacy by the arm and dragged her to a chair.

Adams noted that her daughter looked like she was losing balance and being pulled around by the unidentified worker.

A representative from the Houston Police Department told DailyMail.com the incident occurred on Tuesday and that Adams reported it on Thursday.

She was watching her daughter through a daycare livestream that sent real-time video straight to her phone.

Livestream footage from Kipling Street Academy showed Legacy, 3, being ‘manhandled’ by a staff member

Once Adams saw the staffer ‘forcefully’ pull her child and ‘slam her into the chair,’ she picked her up at the school and took her to the doctor, the department said.

The doctor did not find any injuries on the child, but Adams told police that Legacy said her stomach hurt after the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.

The concerned mother has pulled Legacy out of the preschool for good, as she claimed this is not the first time something like this has happened.

‘Some people may feel like it’s okay to be physical with a three-year-old,’ Adams told ABC 13.

‘I, on the other hand, do not agree. I don’t think that it’s okay, at any time, to touch another person’s child.’

Kipling Street Academy is currently closed for Thanksgiving and did not respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment.

The preschool did not respond to ABC 13, either, but the outlet reported that Adams did receive a voice message from the preschool’s owner.

The message reportedly revealed that the employee in the recording had been spoken with.

The owner went on to claim that Legacy was acting unruly – climbing on the table and kicking her teachers – before the employee grabbed her.

Adams was less than pleased with the response.

‘To brush it under the rug and blame the three-year-old, us, as a community, we should be outraged,’ Adams told ABC 13.

She recommended the woman in the video take ‘some anger management classes,’ but does not think she should get fired over the incident.

‘I’m not calling for her to lose her job because nobody’s perfect,’ she said. ‘People make mistakes.’

The incident comes about a month after a Washington mother was left furious when her son Giovanni, 3, wandered away from his preschool and his teacher did not try looking for him.

Ana Maldonado could not believe how easily her son was able to leave Tukwila Elementary School in October.

Giovanni walked out of the school and trekked over 100 yards to get home. His teacher never went to find him because she did not want to leave the other students.

When the child showed up at the front door during the school day, his mother was stunned.

‘I was like, “How are you home? Why are you here? School isn’t over for another 30 minutes,”‘ Maldonado said.
