Thailand is set to roll out an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) system for visa-exempt travellers, including visitors from India starting from January 1, 2025.
Issuing a notice, the Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi stated that the applicants, non-Thai nationals, must apply for all types of visas at the website Applicants can submit their applications themselves or through a representative.
It is also mentioned that the application will be processed approximately within 14 working days from the date the receipt of the visa fee is issued.
The embassy also confirmed that the 60-day visa exemption for Indian ordinary passport holders for tourism and short business purposes remains in effect until further notice.
Deadline for the regular visa application under the current system:
- Ordinary passport applications submitted at the designated visa processing companies will be accepted until 16 December 2024.
- Diplomatic and official passport applications submitted at the Embassy or Consulate-General will be accepted until 24 December 2024.
