The Rock addresses WrestleMania 41 status with concerned fan amid reports ring legend may skip event

The Rock has addressed his WrestleMania 41 status with a concerned fan amid a report that he could miss out on the event next year.

Dave Meltzer wrote in his Wrestling Observer Newsletter this week that the legendary wrestler was currently ‘not scheduled for the show,’ with a source adding to him that The Rock’s schedule got ‘too heavy’ for him to fully commit to the event.

That report has evidently made its way to some fans, with one asking ‘The People’s Champ’ directly in his Instagram comments if he’d be appearing at the event next April.

‘Are you really not working mania 41??? Say it ain’t so,’ they wrote.

The performer, whose real name is Dwayne Johnson, replied with an emphatic comment of his own on Saturday night.

The Rock assured a fan he would be at next year’s WrestleMania in Las Vegas, Nevada

‘Don’t believe any of that bullsh**’ he wrote.

The Rock returned to WWE at Bad Blood last Saturday night following the main event, which featured the likes of Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.

However, he didn’t engage with either of them, so it’s currently unclear whether or not he will side with them.

A report during a recent WrestleVotes Q and A on Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass suggested that the trio will take part in a triple threat match at Wrestlemania.

‘I can tell you that’s on the table,’ the report read.

‘I don’t know for sure if it’s been finalised in any way. It’s October. I doubt it’s been finalized, but that idea has been floated and I think it makes the most sense for the company to get those three guys in the ring.’

There were initially plans for The Rock and Reigns to clash this year at Wrestlemania, but WWE changed course to have Reigns go against Rhodes after intense fan backlash.

Next year’s Wrestlemania will be at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas from April 19–20.
