During a TV interview, Shahrukh Khan fondly recalled the coffee shop ‘DePaul’ from his school days in Connaught Place, Delhi. He often visited this shop during his school days to relish their coffee, a taste that remains etched in his memory. The Shop Is 72 Years Old
In a conversation with Local18, Ashwini Kathpalia, the proprietor of ‘DePaul Coffee Shop’, revealed that the establishment has been serving its famous cold coffee for 72 years. Shahrukh Khan was a regular patron during his school and college days. Even during his time working on the TV serial Fauji, he would visit the shop in the evenings. In the 1990s, when Shahrukh Khan frequented the place, they offered only one variety of coffee.
‘We Will Send Coffee To Shahrukh’
Ashwini Kathpalia extended a heartfelt request to Shahrukh Khan, saying, “Whenever he feels like drinking coffee from this shop, he should just call us, we will send coffee to his home from Delhi to Mumbai. We are proud to see the position Shahrukh Khan has reached and want him to keep progressing like this.”
DePaul Coffee Shop is located at 22 Janpath Bhawan. The nearest Metro station is Janpat Metro Station. The shop is open from 9:30 am to 9:30 pm.
