Operation Sindoor Debate: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday took a veiled jibe at the opposition over its stance of Operation Sindoor, saying that he has come to the house to present India’s point of view and to show a mirror to those who are unable to see it.

While participating in a special three-day discussion in the Lok Sabha on “India’s strong, successful and decisive Operation Sindoor in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam”, the Prime Minister said, “I stand here to present India’s side before this House. Those who don’t see India’s side, I stand here to show them a mirror.”

He also lashed at the opposition saying that some people are busy pushing Pakistan’s false propaganda over the facts shared by the armed forces, even though India’s stand has been crystal clear.

Condemning the ghastly terror attack of Pahalgam, PM Modi said that the way terrorists targeted innocent people while asking them their religion, it was the height of brutality.

“The cruel incident that happened in Pahalgam on 22nd April, the way terrorists shot innocent people after asking them about their religion, was the height of cruelty. This was a well-thought-out attempt to throw India into the fire of violence. This was a conspiracy to spread riots in India. Today I thank the countrymen that the country foiled that conspiracy with unity,” he said.

He further thanked the Indian people to support him during India’s retaliatory attacks.

“During Operation Sindoor, the way people of India supported me and blessed me, I am indebted to India’s people and I am thankful to Indians. I appreciate their support for me,” he said.

He further asserted that the Indian armed forces taught such a lesson to those behind the Pahalgam attack that the “masters of terrorism” are still losing their sleep over it.

“We have complete trust in the capabilities of our armed forces and they were given a free hand to respond. The armed forces taught them such a lesson that the masters of terrorism are still losing their sleep over it,” he said.

Modi noted that Pakistan had some inkling of Indian action and had started issuing nuclear threats, but could do nothing when terror targets were hit.

“It (Pahalgam attack) was a conspiracy to instigate riots in India and the country’s unity foiled that attempt. When I speak of this Parliament session being a Vijayotsav, it is of destroying the headquarters of terror,” he said.
