In a jibe at Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that leaders who have “photos in the huts of the poor, for their own entertainment, will find the mention of the poor in Parliament boring”.

Speaking on AI, PM Modi again took a swipe at Rahul Gandhi and said, “Some people find AI an amusing term. But for me, AI stands for two things—Artificial Intelligence and Aspirational India.”
He further added that India will become the gaming capital of the world.
Talking about how the government has worked towards giving houses to the poor, the Prime Minister said: “Till now the poor have been given 4 crore houses. Those who have lived difficult lives only understand that what is the value of getting a house.”
Mentioning the sufferings of the women in the past, the Prime Minister mentioned that “women in the past suffered a lot due to the lack of a toilet system”.
“Those who have these facilities cannot understand the problems of those who are suffering. We have given more than 12 crore toilets,” added the Prime Minister.
PM Modi On Boosting Middle-Class Savings
PM Narendra Modi stated that over the past decade, his government has boosted middle-class savings by lowering income tax. He recalled that before 2014, heavy tax burdens severely impacted people’s lives, but his administration worked to ease those challenges. In 2013-14, the tax exemption limit was just ₹2 lakh, whereas today, it has increased to ₹12 lakh. He added that with a ₹75,000 standard deduction, from April 1, salaried individuals earning up to ₹12.75 lakh annually will pay no income tax.
