Tommy Dorfman appeared to announce her split from wife Elise Williams, a year after they secretly married.
The 13 Reasons Why star, 32, indicated the potential split in an Instagram post from her 2024 recap.
Dorfman — who came out as a transgender woman in July 2021 — shared a series of 20 images on Sunday, each accompanied by a reflective caption, with the first suggesting a possible breakup.
‘Heartbreak feels good in a place like this (i wrote this entirely original line),’ she captioned a melancholic photo of her in a bathtub.
In the accompanying caption for a photo of her dog, she explained that she was living alone now, writing, ‘fiona loves her new home and, while it’s just the two of us now, i think she’s managing better than i.’
There was also a cheeky snap of Tommy lifting her black skirt up to reveal her toned legs. The star captioned it, ‘I sent this to a boy and got no response so that’s good.’

It comes a year after the star — who came out as a transgender woman in July 2021 — quietly married Elise; they are seen in February
She also shared an image of Succession actress Annabelle Dexter-Jones, crediting her for having ‘kept me breathing and emotionally sober after one of the hardest weeks of my life.’
She did not specify what made the time period so difficult.
DailyMail.com has reached out to Dorfman’s representatives for comment.
Another snap saw a shirtless Dorfman with blood on her ear and chest, with the caption, ‘looks worse than it feels.’
There was also a snap of her with her dog, whom she called her, ’emotional support human.’
In another image she was seen enjoying karaoke. The caption read, ‘karaoke with @clips.split is vvvvv healing you all should try it sometime.’
Dorfman quietly married Elise at the end of 2023 during a private concierge service ceremony in Los Angeles.
She shared that she eloped with partner of three years in an Instagram post as well as an essay for Vogue.
Dorfman and Williams met on dating app Hinge in 2021, and got engaged two months into dating.

Dorfman also shared a joint post with Vogue that showed off the two sets of bridal dresses the pair wore for their elopement and the photoshoot that followed.
‘I married my best friend and didn’t tell anyone except @hunterabrams who came and photographed us towards the end of last year,’ Dorfman wrote on her social media.
‘A few weeks ago we decided to say let’s celebrate this our way, so we something for @voguemagazine and @vogueweddings because we love each other and the world should know!!!! ok???!
Dorfman added, ‘And if you’re mean to her i’ll [knife emoji].’
Meanwhile in her essay for Vogue, she shared that Elise is a private person who still doesn’t follow her on Instagram, and discussed how they moved fast after meeting each other.
‘We got engaged two months into dating. To our credit, we waited a full 12 months before moving in together, so you can’t say we U-Hauled (though one might argue taking in a Great Dane puppy at our six-month mark was a smidge irresponsible).’
‘That’s the thing about falling in love though; your responsibility barometer isn’t always where it should be. Love, for us, required that nauseating combination of naiveté, delusion and fate.’
Dorfman went on to share that Elise didn’t want a big wedding, and that the pair bought their ‘Folklore-coded’ dresses off the rack at Dover Street Market.
‘She fell in love with a Cecile Bahnsen set, and I, a Simone Rocha number. Off the rack, no tailoring, just right.’
The actress then discussed how she and Elise eloped.
‘Elise and I joked about same-day marriages,’ she wrote. After doing a Google search, they discovered California offered same-day wedding services and confidential marriage records.

The I Wish You All the Best star announced that she was engaged to ‘the person I’m going to spend the rest of my life’ in August of 2022
That’s when the pair decided to say ‘I do’ before heading to a concert later in the evening.
Dorfman went on to say that after they got their elopement photos they ‘wanted to share them with our friends and family and celebrate our love more publicly.’
‘While we won’t live our lives online in any way that isn’t well-protected, we do see the benefit of celebrating our love with the world—and, frankly, the importance of people seeing trans and queer love,’ the star added.
The I Wish You All the Best star announced that she was engaged to ‘the person I’m going to spend the rest of my life’ in August of 2022 during an episode of Rachel Bilson’s Broad Ideas podcast.
At the time she didn’t reveal the identity of her partner, and only shared that she’s ‘just a gay girl.’
‘I fell in love with someone who doesn’t fetishize me,’ Dorfman added, while discussing the complexities of dating as a trans woman.
The actress stated that Elise helps give her estrogen shots.
‘My fiancée, she knew how, so she did it for me the first time. Then she was out of town and we FaceTimed and she walked me through it.’
Her relationship with Williams came a year after her 2021 split from husband Peter Zurkuhlen, 36.
They former pair got married in 2016 before Zurkuhlen filed for divorce from Dorfman in early 2022, six months after she announced her transition in July 2021.

Following their split Dorfman shared that she decided to date women.
‘I knew I was interested in women in a way that I hadn’t really been aware of since high school,’ she told Bilson.
‘I had this unresolved, unexplored thing. I was like, “This is the year that I’m gonna go on some dates with girls and feel that out again, and not feel ashamed about it.”‘
In 2022, she shared in a TikTok video documenting her fluid sexuality, in which she said that she ‘went from being a straight boy to a gay boy to a non-binary person to a trans straight woman — I thought — to I guess I am a trans lesbian.’
