Top Dem staffer filmed throwing her high heeled shoe during unseemly outdoor brawl

A top staffer to Boston Mayor Michelle Wu allegedly struck a woman in the face with her high-heeled shoe in a frenzied street brawl filmed by stunned witnesses.

Ciara D’Amico, the deputy director of neighborhoods in Wu’s administration, was allegedly seen in footage launching her stiletto at a woman outside a 7/11 store in the city’s North End.

According to a police report obtained first by the Boston Herald, D’Amico allegedly joined the melee after her father John punched a woman in the face multiple times, before her two sisters Serina and Vitianna also entered the fray.

The report said that D’Amico then ‘took off her high-heel shoe… and hit her in the face over three times.’

The alleged victim said that she was neighbors with the suspects, cops said, but no arrests have been made following the altercation.

The woman reportedly told investigators that the fight was triggered by an incident earlier in the day involving her son that occurred as she was dropping towels off at a laundromat.

After punching the woman in the face, John D’Amico is also accused of ‘calling her a fat (expletive) and screaming, ‘I am going to slit your son’s throat’, per the reported police record.

She also claimed that ‘they threatened to kill her and her entire family,’ adding that ‘she was afraid for her son to go to work the following morning due to the (threats) her neighbors made.’

Police said that the woman who was allegedly attacked by D’Amico and her family brought in a size 8.5 high heeled left shoe from the scene, and said that it belonged to Ciara.

Following the alleged attack, the victim was denied an emergency restraining order against the D’Amicos, because it was not a domestic incident.

It is unclear if any action has been taken against Ciara D’Amico, and her government profile remains active online. D’Amico did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In a statement to the Daily Mail, Mayor Wu’s office said: ‘We hold all our employees to the highest standards. The City is taking steps to administer discipline to the employee.

‘No arrests were made and no charges have been filed. The City cannot comment further as this is a personnel matter.’

According to her biography, D’Amico is the deputy director of neighborhoods for the Dorchester, East Boston, North End, West End, Wharf District Liaison, Downtown, Chinatown, Leather District, South End and Bay Village areas of Boston.

‘In her free time, D’Amico enjoys spending time with her family and friends, along with shopping, trying out new restaurants, traveling, and exercising,’ the profile adds.

According to the Herald, she made $70,469 in her government role last year.

The outlet said that D’Amico’s apparent employment after the incident follows another Wu administration official who remained employed by the city months after being hit with felony assault charges.

The staffer, Duanasia Yancey, 33, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in April after allegedly attacking the ex-wife of her girlfriend related to a dispute over a birth certificate.

Yancey was placed on leave but remains the deputy director of Mayor Wu’s office of LGBTQ+ Advancement despite the charges.
