Team India begin their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign with a game against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Stadium on the 20th of February as the men in blue go in search of their third CT title.
However, ahead of the opening game of the tournament, there seems to be some trouble brewing as Times Now claimed that an active Indian wicketkeeper-batter is frustrated with head coach Gautam Gambhir. The report further claimed that the player in question also feels that he has been left out of the setup due to factors that are external and do not concern his cricketing attributes.
The report, however, failed to mention if the player in question was part of the travelling squad for the upcoming ICC event or not.

Team India have called up the experienced KL Rahul and the maverick Rishabh Pant as wicketkeeping options for the marquee ICC event, with the former tipped as the frontrunner to keep wickets at the ICC CT 2025.
Pant, who recovered from a life-threatening accident that ruled him out of action for over a year, hasn’t settled into his own in white-ball cricket and is expected to be Rahul’s understudy at the event co-hosted by Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
Team India are placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand, while Group B comprises South Africa, Australia, England and Afghanistan. The top 2 teams will earn qualification to the subsequent stage of the contest.
