Alex Bruesewitz, advisor to US President-elect Donald Trump, collapsed on stage in New York while he was speaking during a Young Republican Club gala Sunday night (local New York time).
Bruesewitz was reportedly introducing incoming White House senior aide Dan Scavino when he started slurring his words.
Moments later, Bruesewitz fainted in front of hundreds of people, multiple videos on social media showed.
Many sitting in the front rushed to his rescue.
Official updates on his medical condition were yet awaited. However, The New York Post quoted Raheem Kassam – a former aide of British conservative politician Nigel Farage, as saying that Bruesewitz was fine and was talking.
“I talked to our friend Alex Bruesewitz and you know what he said to me? He goes ‘Did I at least look cool?’ I said Alex you used gravity like I’ve seen nobody use gravity before in their lives,” the report quoted Kassam as saying.
According to the report, Trump too sent his good wishes to Bruesewitz after learning of the incident.
“I know that Alex is going to be fine because he’s a tough son of a gun. There’s no doubt about that. So I want to say hello to Alex because he’s a very special guy,” Trump said on the phone, the report claimed.
