US President Donald Trump said that when he thinks of walking away from Ukraine peace talks but he holds back as “positive things happen”
Trump made this comment at an interview with NBC News “Meet the Press” moderator Kristen Welker, which aired on Sunday, while about ongoing peace deal negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
When asked about Ukraine-Russia peace talks and what he thinks before he walks away. Trump said: “There’ll be a time where I will say, “ok, keep going, keep being Stupid, keep fighting””
When the host further asked, when does that come. Trump replied: “Some times i get close to it and then positive things happen.”
During the interview, Trump also said he is not seriously considering running for a third White House term, after musing publicly over an idea clearly barred by the nation’s founding legal document.
“This is not something I’m looking to do,” he told Kristen Welker, according to released excerpts, adding: “I’m looking to have four great years and turn it over to somebody, ideally a great Republican, a great Republican to carry it forward.”
Additionally, Trump defended his administration’s aggressive deportation of undocumented migrants — some without court hearings — saying it is necessary due to what he calls a “national emergency,” despite widespread criticism.
