- A new piece of official Trump merchandise has a very revealing message
President Donald Trump is not hiding his desire to run for a third term; in fact, merchandise for his potential run is already for sale.
The president’s business has released the most obvious clue to date that the 78-year-old is planning to run again in 2028, despite him being forbidden from doing so.
The official Trump store recently released a new ‘Trump 2028 Hat,’ and they are so popular that the site has a disclaimer noting the cap is in ‘high demand’ and additional processing might be required as they fly off the shelves.
Bright red with bold white lettering, the cap is now on sale for $50.
‘The future looks bright! Rewrite the rules with the Trump 2028 high crown hat,’ the initial product description for the hat stated.
The caption appeared to be a play on how the 22nd Amendment strictly forbids presidents from running for more than two terms.
However, the language was quickly edited and changed to ‘Make a statement with this Made in America Trump 2028 hat.’
Within minutes of the hat being sighted on the online store a picture of Eric Trump donning the cap was posted online.

Trump debuted another new hat over the weekend that pays homage to his recently renamed Gulf of America, which the president directed to be changed from Gulf of Mexico this year
‘We have never seen such an incredible item,’ Eric Trump told DailyMail.com in a statement.
‘Sales are through the roof! It has been so popular the website almost crashed.’
Eric Trump and his brother Donald Trump Jr. have been running the Trump Organization while their father serves as president.

Though some have laughed off the idea that Trump would launch another bid for president, the commander-in-chief himself has said that he is serious about it.
Speaking with NBC News last month, Trump doubled down, saying he was ‘not joking’ about possibly running again.
He shared that ‘a lot of people’ want him to do it, adding ‘there are methods which you could do it.’
However, he eventually admitted that it is ‘far too early to think about it.’

Still, that has not stopped Congress from trying to make the president’s wish come true.
Rep. Andy Ogles, R-Tenn., introduced a measure shortly after the president’s inauguration to change the 22nd Amendment.
The proposal would change the amendment’s language to specify that a president could run for a third term if the first two were not consecutive.
‘No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive term,’ the proposed legislation says.
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also addressed Trump’s much-touted third term last month.
‘You guys continue to ask the president this question about a third term and then he answers honestly and candidly with a smile and then everybody here melts down about his answer,’ she said.
‘People love the job this president is doing,’ she added.
