Turkey Strikes Iraq, Syria As Erdogan Vows To Eliminate Kurdish Militants After Defence Firm Attack

Turkey launched a series of airstrikes targeting 47 “terror sites” in Iraq and Syria after a deadly attack on a defence firm near Ankara. The strikes, which hit Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) locations, followed the explosion that killed five and injured 22 others. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned the attack as “treacherous” and reinforced Turkey’s “determination to abolish terrorism.” The airstrikes destroyed caves, shelters, and infrastructure used by militants. Reports from the Syrian Democratic Forces claimed 12 civilians were killed in the strikes, further escalating tensions in the region.
