Ex-Juventus star Paul Pogba has been linked with a return to the Premier League. The French midfielder’s previous contract with the Bianconeri was recently terminated by mutual consent.

The 31-year-old is currently a free agent who can return to the field in March of next year after his four-year suspension for breaking anti-doping rules was reduced to 18 months.

Now a Fichajes report has claimed that two Premier League clubs are interested in signing the Frenchman. Newcastle United and West Ham United are the two sides currently pursuing Pogba’s signature. They believe the 31-year-old midfield star could be a valuable addition despite his extended absence from the sport.

Newcastle United have been looking to establish themselves as a Premier League giant in recent years. Pogba’s addition to their squad would be a great strength to their midfield. Pogba would bring vast experience and talent to the squad. He is known for his ability to control the game’s pace. The Frenchman can also make a difference with his physical and technical presence. He could be the luxury reinforcement that the team needs to reach higher positions in the league table.

West Ham are also looking to secure the midfielder’s services next summer. Their focus is on improving the team immediately to better their Premier League standing. While the club understands the risks of the current Pogba situation, they believe that the Frenchman will bring the required talent to take the club’s midfield to an entirely different level next year.

Pogba was also recently linked with his former club Manchester United. It was claimed that the Frenchman would be training at the Red Devil’s training facility in Carrington. However, the rumours were later denied by Italian journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on X.

In his post, he wrote, “Reports of Paul Pogba set to train at Manchester United’s Carrington are not true. Pogba is not planning to train at any club as he’s working in Miami on a daily basis.” Romano further claimed no contact was made between the two parties. “As soon as he signs for a new club, Paul will be ready to go and train there. No contacts with United,” he added.

Following his contract termination with Juventus, Pogba claimed he was ‘looking forward’ to the next chapter in his career. There is still no official update as to where the Frenchman will be moving to next season.
