Two teenagers have been arrested after a pair of kittens ‘were tortured and killed’ in an ‘incredibly distressing’ attack.

The tiny cats are said to have been dismembered in the gruesome act, which took place on Ickenham Road in Ruislip, north west London on Saturday May 3.

The small animals are believed to have been brought to the scene in a duffel bag, carried by a young boy.

Today, two youngsters have been arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty and remain in custody.

It comes after the force released an urgent appeal to track down two teens after a member of the public claimed to have witnessed the horrific act.

Police Sergeant Babs Rock previously said: ‘This is an incredibly distressing incident which I know has caused concern in the local community.’

A Met Police spokesperson has since thanked locals for coming forward with information about the incident.
