Tyreek Hill reveals reason he closed his car window on cops before they detained him by force in Miami as he responds to shock bodycam video

Tyreek Hill has revealed that he didn’t want to wind down his window after being pulled over by police because he feared fans would take pictures.

The Miami Dolphins receiver told CNN that he was ‘shell-shocked’ after dramatic bodycam footage emerged showing the moment he was dragged from his car and pinned to the ground near Hard Rock Stadium.

Miami-Dade police officers reacted with force after the NFL star handed over his ID and then wound up his window. But Hill explained why he was reluctant to keep his tinted window down.

‘I’m not trying to cause a scene because if I let me window down, people walking by and driving by they’re going to know that it’s me and they’re going to start taking pictures,’ he said.

‘I didn’t want to create a scene at all. I just really wanted to get the ticket and then go on my way and have a great Sunday.’

At the start of the bodycam footage, officers can be seen approaching Hill’s car. The receiver appeared to hand over his license before telling the cop to ‘do what you got to do.’

The 30-year-old then put his window up, prompting officers to tap on the car and tell Hill: ‘Hey, keep that window down!’

Around 10 seconds later, with Hill’s window still closed, the officers lost patience.

‘Keep your window down or I’m going to get you out of the car. As a matter of fact, get out of the car,’ one officer told Hill before another warned the receiver: ‘We’ll break that freaking window.’

Moments later, Hill was told: ‘We’re not playing this car, get out!’ An officer then opened the driver-side door and grabbed Hill.

The NFL star pleaded with cops – ‘I’m getting out!’ – but one officer put his hand towards Hill’s neck and dragged him out of the car. ‘Get out, GET OUT. What part of that do you not understand?’

Then, with Hill face down on the road, a cop put his knee on the receiver’s back and grabbed his hands as a fellow officer put on handcuffs.

ramatic bodycam footage has emerged of the moment Dolphins star Tyreek Hill was detained by cops and pinned to the ground near Hard Rock Stadium.

The wide receiver was placed in handcuffs while driving to the Dolphins’ season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars. ‘Take me to jail, brother. Do what you have to do,’ Hill told the officers.

Cops could then be heard telling Hill to ‘stop crying’ after dragging him out of his car and forcing him face down on to the road.

‘When we tell you to do something, you do it. You understand? Not what you want, what we tell you. You’re a little f****** confused,’ an officer told him.

A Florida police union claimed that Hill was driving dangerously when he was pulled over in Miami on Sunday and that he was cuffed after refusing to cooperate. Hill said he has ‘no idea’ what sparked his detainment.
